iRato Pulse · Kickstarter · July 2026

The first AI safety agent
you can wear.

A panic button is a button. iRato Pulse listens, understands the scene, and acts — calling your people, dispatching help, and staying on the line until you're safe.

No screen.
No app.
Nothing to play with.

  • No notifications, games, or social media
  • No screen time — nothing to confiscate

One press.
One word.
The agent takes over.

  • AI agent places parallel calls to your contacts
  • Dispatches local emergency services
  • Stays on the line — speaks for you if you can't
  • Court-admissible case file, automatically
Trigger to response · < 240 ms
— 01 / The agent

A panic button presses itself. An agent picks up the phone.

Press the button or say the word. From that second, an AI agent runs the playbook humans freeze on — the calls, the location, the conversation, the case file.

/ STEP 01

Listens

Always-on voice trigger detects keywords, screams, glass breaking, and fall impact. The button is the floor — voice is the ceiling.

trigger latency · ≤ 240ms
/ STEP 02

Understands

On-device LLM reads the scene — your tone, your words, your location, the time, your routine — and decides whether this is a scare, a fall, or a real one.

on-device · zero cloud handoff
/ STEP 03

Intervenes

Calls your three emergency contacts in parallel, speaks for you if you can't, dispatches local 911/112/10111, and drops a live location pin to anyone authorized.

parallel calls · 3 contacts + dispatch
/ STEP 04

Reviews

After: a clean case file. Audio (encrypted), GPS trail, what the agent said, who answered, when help arrived. Court-admissible chain of custody.

How voice triggering works

No custom phrases to memorize. Just say something — in any language, at any volume. The on-device LLM figures out the rest.

/ 01 · IDLE
Always listening
Ring breathes cyan. A tiny neural co-processor monitors audio locally. Nothing leaves the device.
/ 02 · WAKE
"Hey iRato"
Wake word detected on-chip in <80 ms. Ring snaps to solid. Mic array opens for your phrase. Still on-device.
/ 03 · PHRASE
🎙
Say anything
No script required. Any distress phrase activates analysis:
"Help me" "别伤害我" "Someone's following me" "Stop, don't"
/ 04 · ANALYZE
LLM reads the scene
On-device model checks all signals before deciding:
Tone & stress in voice Keyword semantics Time of day + routine Location context
/ 05 · ACTION
Agent activates
Genuine distress confirmed. Agent starts parallel calls, dispatches help, logs everything.
0.6%false positive rate
Only 1 in 167 triggers is a false alarm — lower than any single-keyword system — because the LLM reads context, not just words. Custom trigger words are available as an opt-in (higher FPR, user-acknowledged).
"Hey iRato" detection runs entirely on the device's neural co-processor. Audio is only sent to the cloud if the on-device model flags it as a likely trigger event.
What it looks like

The 47 seconds between "something's wrong" and help arriving.

This is a real-time transcript from a live agent run during testing. The user said three words. The agent did the rest — calling, calming, dispatching, narrating — without a single tap on a phone.

Transcript abridged for clarity. Names changed. Audio encrypted at rest, deleted after 30 days unless you save it.

— 02 / Three lives

For the people you can't always be there for.

Pulse is built around the three moments parents, partners and adult children replay at 2am. Same device. Same agent. Three different jobs.

— 05 / Privacy architecture

Always listening. Never recording.

A device that hears your worst moments has to be the most privacy-respecting thing you own. We built it that way from silicon up.

/ 01

On-device wake word

Audio is processed on the chip. Nothing leaves the device until you (or your voice) trigger it. The cloud is the exception, not the default.

/ 02

Encrypted at rest, ephemeral by default

Triggered audio is encrypted, stored 30 days, then auto-deleted unless you save it as evidence. We can't decrypt it. Neither can a subpoena.

/ 03

No data sales. Ever.

Hardware revenue + the optional Aegis Plus subscription are the entire business model. We make money when you trust us, not when we sell you.

/ 04

Open audit, third-party verified

Annual privacy audit by Trail of Bits, published in full. POPIA, GDPR and COPPA compliant. The whitepaper is on the Trust page — all 14 pages.

— 08 / Questions

The honest FAQ.

If something we say sounds too good, we wrote a longer answer for it. If something's still missing, ask us in the comments — we read every one.

Q01If it's "always listening," is it always uploading?+
No. Wake-word detection runs entirely on the device's neural co-processor. Audio is buffered locally for 6 seconds and discarded unless a trigger fires. Nothing reaches our servers — let alone third parties — without a deliberate trigger you can audit.
Q02What does the AI agent actually say on a call?+
It introduces itself as an agent acting on your behalf, states your name and live location, and either patches you through if you're conscious or relays the situation if you're not. You can preview and customize the agent's script in the app. We publish every system prompt change in the changelog.
Q03Does it work without my phone?+
Yes. iRato Pulse has its own LTE-M modem and a global eSIM. The first year of cellular is included. After that, Aegis Plus ($4.99/mo) covers data, AI runtime, and your evidence vault.
Q04What if the AI gets it wrong?+
Three failsafes: (1) a 5-second cancel window with the button before any call goes out, (2) the agent always tries your contacts before emergency services unless impact/scream detection fires, (3) every action is logged and you can review it in the case file. False-positive rate in current beta: 0.6%.
Q05I'm in [country]. Will it work?+
LTE-M coverage in 92 countries at launch. Emergency dispatch routes to local services in 41 (full list in the spec sheet). If your country isn't supported on day one, the device still calls your contacts and shares location — and we'll add dispatch as we certify.
Q06How do the bulk tiers and membership work?+
$149 is our crowdfunding price for the first 10,000 units, and every Solo backer gets 6 months of Aegis Plus included. The Two-pack stacks a 20% bulk discount on top ($238 total) and includes 6 months of Aegis Plus Family. The Ten-pack stacks a 30% bulk discount ($1,043 total) and includes a full year of Aegis Plus Institution. After Kickstarter ends, retail is $249 + subscription — you keep your pledged unit cost forever.
